In contrast to deciduous bushes, evergreen shrubs will remain green year-round. These bushes provide wonderful cover for wildlife no matter the season but will not add as much pop or color to a garden. Often, evergreen shrubs are used for windbreaks or privacy hedging since they remain full foliage.
